Welcome to our Web Site

Kay Dennis Stumpwork is a partnership of Kay and Michael Dennis, affectionally known as 'Team Dennis'.

Kay has more or less retired apart from a couple of local classes. Kay is still willing to hold zoom classes and the odd commission work. Michael has retired apart from the odd job where Kay requires some assistance.

This website has been reduced in content to reflect the change in circumstances

Kay is still designing new projects and stitching while Michael does all the what he can to help.

Have a look at the gallery of Kay's work with comments about each piece. Well worth a visit

The nest picture has been designed to use as a box top.  I am making a large box featuring animals. So when I was asked to teach at the Stitch Together Group ‘A Walk In the Autumn Woods’ workshop day in North Holmwood in October, it fitted the brief well.  Anne Sillifant is teaching how to make a woodland background, Christine Seymour Godwin is teaching felted mice and I am making a nest set in the woodland for a mouse.   Along with the nest, there are leaves, twigs and the mouse larder of berries, fungi, insects and nuts.
Although the box top is quite a large project, students do not have to make something as big.  The nest can be much smaller and not have so much of the surrounding leaves etc.  Students can choose what they want in and around their nest.
The embroidery is not finished and will be added to over the next few weeks as I design and embroider a few more elements.
Please pop into my website to see how the embroidery is developing....or why not join us for the day .  For £35 you can enjoy two workshops.  Each workshop is 2 ½ hours long,  three workshops in the morning and repeated in the afternoon, so students can choose to make a mouse and nest or background and mouse – which ever combination they choose......their choice.  Included in the fee are the materials needed for the workshop.
